If Erzgebirge should choose a favorite season, the Christmas season should be very far ahead, if not at the top of the seasons. What's not going on, what can't you do there? Our Erzgebirge is known as the Christmas country - lights in the windows everywhere and pyramids as tall as a man in the marketplaces. A wonderful scent pours out of the windows when cookies are baked. You won't want to leave at this time. Celebrate with us!
Cleat cut and pushing pyramids with trombone choir - it will be really Christmas. If you still have an old journeyman at home who would do well in the museum, bring it with you to the Raachermannl exchange. The old one is honored in the exhibition and the donors receive a new smoker. All real Erzgebirge.
On the first Sunday of Advent, you can sing candlelit Advent and Christmas carols in the ev.-luth. Immerse the church in the Christmas feeling. This then moves on to the soup museum. A small Christmas market has been set up, the pyramid is running and everyone is in a happy mood. On the Saturdays in Advent, the tower blowing takes place at 6 p.m. in front of the church in Neudorf (the Erzgebirge would say when the Sechse ringing). The Christmas masses will take place in the churches on December 25th. at 5 a.m.
The first Sunday of Advent is welcomed with Advent and Christmas carol singing in the Methodist Church. On the 3rd Sunday of Advent there is also a Christmas market in the Sehma district. With pyramid, waffle scent and mulled wine. Every Sunday in Advent sounds at ev.-luth. Church Sehma at 6 p.m. the tower blowing. The Christmas masses will be held in the two churches on December 25th. held at 5 a.m.
On the second Advent, the Ascension Church invites you to sing Advent and Christmas carols. Various associations and the family center in Crzahl organize a small Christmas hustle and bustle between the church and town hall every Sunday in Advent. The Christmas mass takes place in the ev.-luth. Church on December 25th at 5 a.m., while on December 26. the Nativity scene is performed in the Methodist church at 4 p.m. The Cranzahler Christmas mountain, which can be visited from December to the end of January, is a little hidden at Dorfstraße 35, but an eye-catcher. For the senior citizens of the community, an advent event takes place in the large hall in the gymnasium. Please follow the separate link for information about this event:
There are no mountain parades in our place, these take place in the big mountain towns. The Erzgebirge Tourism Association knows exactly when which parade is going where. It is best to get an overview there.
It is warm inside, outside it is icy. Expectant children's eyes look a little scared when Santa Claus enters the car of the old tourist train. She sniffs, sometimes with two locomotives, through the winter forest. Every year Nikolaus gives the Fichtelbergbahn the pleasure to ride. If you want to ride yourself, you should register, because space is limited.
People sing, dance and play music. The highlight is the performance of a play in dialect. After that, the laugh muscles urgently need a break and the belly needs strengthening. Such an evening is an integral part of the tradition of the Ore Mountains. Because these performances are so popular and not all those who want to party together can fit into the large hall of the Kaiserhof, they are even available four times!
